Bidhannagar Mayor Krishna Chakraborty resigns, another massive blow to TMC
West Bengal BJP President Samik Bhattacharya was admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata this morning after his health significantly deteriorated due to a prolonged high fever. The hospitalization follows several days of the party chief battling the illness. Party sources confirmed that Bhattacharya had been suffering from a high temperature for nearly a week.
Despite doctors prescribing medication, his fever failed to subside, but he insisted on honoring his political engagements and attending crucial meetings and events throughout his illness. The situation became critical this morning when Bhattacharya began feeling acutely weak. Following this deterioration, he was rushed to a hospital located near the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass for immediate medical attention and subsequent admission.
Doctors are currently monitoring his condition closely and have strongly advised complete rest, underscoring the seriousness of his persistent fever and general weakness. Party functionaries noted that his dedication to his duties, particularly during a demanding political period, likely contributed to his worsening condition.
